SOP was given a very short notice by Singapore Polytechnic (SP) to notify all the Opticians and our members for the registration on a Preparatory Course for the Competency Test. (which is less than 4 days). Immediately, our council and committee members swam into action. Some Opticians even received notification in the wee hours as we worked thru the night.
Even though SOP has nothing to gain from this exercise, we went all the way to help in the registration of the course. The course fee is directly paid to SP.
This page is dedicated to those who have contributed selflessly during the registration program. The volunteers came down to Essilor Office early in the morning and some spent the entire day at Singapore Polytechnic, sacrificing their business and also assist in keying in application for the Opticians.
Special thanks to those who have made extra effort to turn up for more than one morning to help with the anticipation of a big crowd and also for those who turn up at polytechnic every morning to get the latest update. One of our council member’s has a child that’s unwell, nevertheless, he made the effort to turn up and help daily.
Special thanks to Essilor who arranged the place and resources. The management and staffs at Essilor who came to our aid when we were in need. Thanks for all the photocopy, crowd control and PR. Also to the webmaster for SOP, who is doing the name updates in real-time.
Without all of you this successful registration drive could not have been possible.
