About Homestay
Divine Homestay was conceived as an alternative accommodation for those who wish to experience staying with a Nepal family and getting to know the Nepali lifestyle more intimately. Also, considering that many of you trek with us repeatedly every year, we thought that offering our residence in Kathmandu as a home stay would be good news to you. Here we have a scenic and peaceful environment, nice and cozy bedrooms, hot shower, home-made breakfast (by the same team you go trekking with!), travel service within reach (our travel office is just next door), sun tanning and smelling the roses in the garden, surrounding crops and nature in abundance and of course, the company of our family and friends who gathers in our house almost every other day.
Just ten minutes walk away, you will find the neighbourhood with its bustling shops where the community gathers and we replienish our daily needs. You can have a chat with the vegetable or chicken seller,discuss your beauty needs with ‘Didi’ (‘sister in Nepali) at the beauty parlour, rent a DVD at the shop or get your local snacks at the convenience shop. You can simply take a walk in the neighbourhood and soak in the atmosphere watching everyone else in action. Life is so simple and basic here that by being part of it, it helps you get away from the realities of life in the big city.
